FAQs

How can I get in touch with you?

You’re welcome to call or text us at 516 697 7960, or fill out the contact form on this page.

We prefer text or email (daniel@reflectivebody.com) for quick questions or scheduling follow-ups, as it allows us to respond thoughtfully between client sessions. If you’d like to speak directly, we’re happy to schedule a time to talk by phone or in person.

We believe every interaction matters—so we design our communication to be clear, responsive, and respectful of your time.

Do you accept insurance?

We are out-of-network providers, which means we can supply you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please check with your provider for specific acupuncture benefits.
We’re happy to help guide you through this process if you’re unsure where to begin.

What is service design, and how does it help my experience as a patient?

At Reflective Body, we use service design as a practical tool to improve your experience at every step—from the moment you book your appointment to how you feel after your treatment.

This means we carefully consider:

  • How we communicate with you (text, email, reminders)

  • What happens before, during, and after your session

  • How your feedback is integrated into your care

  • How your personal wellness goals shape your treatment plan

Our goal is to make your healing journey feel intuitive, meaningful, and deeply personalized.

What conditions do you treat with acupuncture?

Daniel provides support for a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Stress, anxiety, and sleep issues

  • Fertility and women’s health

  • Chronic and acute pain

  • Digestive and respiratory concerns

  • General wellness and immune support

Your treatment plan will be tailored to your needs after a thorough initial consultation.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Wear comfortable clothes and eat a light meal beforehand. You’ll fill out a brief health history form, and we’ll spend time talking about your needs, goals, and lifestyle before beginning treatment.

What should I expect during a session?

You’ll rest comfortably while fine, sterile needles are gently inserted. Most people find it relaxing—some even fall asleep. Sessions may also include massage, cupping, heat therapy, or guided breathing, depending on your needs.

How often should I come?

This varies. Some clients come weekly, others seasonally or monthly. After your first visit, Daniel will recommend a rhythm that suits your body, schedule, and goals.

Can I bring my child?

Yes, we welcome families! We can provide a calming space for children to wait nearby if needed. Let us know in advance so we can prepare.
